Two-time Grammy winner Melissa Etheridge is currently having the time of her life in the cast of Green Day's American Idiot as seductive drug pusher, St. Jimmy. Now that Etheridge and Green Day's own Billie Joe Armstrong have both starred in the show, Broadway.com staffers started thinking about what other musicians could rock Broadway's St. James Theatre. With the February 13 Grammy telecast just around the corner, the starry nominees list provides the perfect casting pool for each of the characters in American Idiot.
